I have been keeping up to date with most rugby competitions around the world and mainly because I enjoy a good rugby match on a weekend with a couple of beers to settle the end of the week. But I have just noticed that I have not being keeeping up to date with the local Tongan matches and also any recent matches for the Ikale Tahi.

The rugby world cup is just over a year away and I am starting to wonder if it's worth getting a ticket for any of the Tongan rugby matches. Only beacuse I do not know what is happening with them. They are pooled to play in the RWC but since I enjoy rugby in general, I still have to option of buying a cheaper ticket to a game such as maybe Romania against Ukraine.

But I'm pretty sure that come World cup time, I will definitely have my Tongan pride on but I'd like to see some promotion or even maybe some telelouniu about the preparation of the Ikale Tahi so that I can secure tickets for there game. Maybe I'm just blabbring away but some sort of publication about the Ikale Tahi would be a great enforcer in my decision to go to any of there matchs or not.

Tonga offers a huge range of accommodation types to fit all budget and preferences. From backpackers, to serviced apartments, hotels, guesthouses and resorts - Tonga has something to suit any budget and taste.

A relaxing holiday lying on a wonderful beach, a exciting fishing trip, an exhilirating dive trip or one of any number of wonderful island experiences - Tonga has it all.

There are 176 islands in Tonga and to see them all you need lots of time and your own charter.Tonga's domestic airlines, are keeping the Kingdom's main Islands of Tongatapu, Vava'u and Ha'apai connected.

Tonga can be found in the very heart of the South Pacific lying east of Fiji and south of Samoa. It is one of the most beautiful and naturally untouched of the Pacific island nations.

Tonga has a NNE/SSW orientation between latitudes 16oS and 23oS and longitudes 173o40 W and 175o20 W. The 176 islands ranging from high volcanic to low coral terrain create scenic variety seldom matched elsewhere in the world. The islands are divided into four groups and bordered on the east by the deep Tongan Trench.

Nuku'alofa, the main town, is located on the main island of Tongatapu. It is more developed than its smaller islands but still maintains an unhurried and relaxed lifestyle.

The name Tonga means SOUTH - further from the equator than islands such as Samoa, Tonga has a cooler and more comfortable tropical climate.

It receives less rain than other tropical areas, and maximum temperatures average 80 F / 27 C with only moderate humidity. The rainy season lasts from December to April.
