The guest of honour Hon Federica Fatafehi 'o Lapaha Tuita gave the opening address followed by an address from the Hon Minister of Tourism Hon Fineasi Funaki.

The program ran for two days and there were tents displaying traditional, contemporary arts and crafts including ta'ovala, mats, tapa and also traditional clubs, drums and wood carvings amongst others.

Performing at the program were different show groups from different villages to perform Tongan dancing including the ma'ulu'ulu, kailao, lakalaka, and also group dancing.

Similar events were held in 'Eua on the 10th and Ha'apai will hold its Tourism week on the 17th. Vava'u tourism week will be held on the 17th and 18^th of December.
